ATI vs Geissman

I'm considering changing my lighting on my 60 mixed cube. Currently running a Kessil A360W.

Looking into both the ATI and Geissman and was hoping for some insight from people that have knowledge in T5 lighting.

I've read some post and checked the manufactures summaries but need some additional help.

So far I've read mixed reviews on dimmable vs non as far as bulb life. Seems that the Geissman has more control ability as far as channels goes. Some comments on the Geissman not cooling as well and the lack of retro fitting led strips and lastly the overall aesthetics of both.

My cube is rimless so don't have a hood.

Really think I should upgrade to a 4-6 long tank (because why not) but with a move, possibly out of state, within 1-3 years that's not happening in the near future.

So for the time being changing my lighting is my next potential next project.

Any comments, thoughts, insight would be greatly appreciated!

Go non dim and find or diy a hybred.
On a hybred I think you'll want four tubes.
At just under 12 in is probably about where your light level is at.

With a 360 you can pretty easily find a fixture and cut a hole in it for the kessil.

If you went with a six tube you would probably have more par but it's not really needed.

As far as tubes, dunno. ATI is a standard , Geissmann is pretty and exotic.

Either will def grow corals.

Not sure I'll keep the Kessil. Would probably sell it to recoup some of the cost of the new fixture. Some led strips might get tossed in.

I'm assuming this is due to the cooling system?

I've heard that ati sold to another bulb company and they aren't made in German anymore. And the giesemann out due them as far as par.

Although the bulb info is great, which I'll have to research, I'm mainly trying to decide on which fixture to go with.
