Hey,
I have a question that i'm hoping someone can answer. I run a fixture that has 2 400W Radium MH and 6 x 54W t5's. It's an old fixture made by Grotech it's called the Aqua Photon Plus. I also have 2 reefbrite blue strips mounted to the fixture. I've always had MH for the past 10 years and have no interest in switching. That being said IMO nothing beats the 20K MH look with VHO actinics. RI had to recently change out all of my bulbs which I do once a year. I do it gradually, I change a pair every two weeks and I dramatically reduce my photo period and work back up when I change the radiums. That being said I really like the look of the actinic T5's more then the Blue Plus bulbs from all companies that make the blue plus look. I think the actinic resembles the VHO's the closest. Is there a downside to say going 4 X Actinic and 2 X BP Vs. 4 X BP and 2 X Actinic? Or all Actinic?
