I was thinking about making a ato container out of acrylic. how big should i make it? Total volume of water is 110 gallons. Should there be a pump in the said container for movement?

Guess it comes down to how much ato water you are using per day and how often do you want to be filing this container up. I would make it as big as space would allow if in a stand. Otherwise a 2 or 5 gal bucket works just fine.

Depending on your setup, more water volume equals more water to pump into your system with a failure. I currently use a 3 gallon water bottle that I mix kalkwasser in for my 72 bow.

I used a clear container found at target which holds about 7 gallons, an aqualift pump and some silicone tubing. I suggest you just buy a container rather than making one.

I have a 125 and I use a 6 gallon carboy and I need to fill it up every other day. Kinda of annoying, if I could go 10 gal I would but don't have the room
