Looks like my ATO system finally died last night. Anyone know if Aquatic Cove carries an ATO system, and if so, which one?

Sorry this happened.

They may carry one but I haven't seem any when I go.

Not sure if it can help you but, Do you by chance have an unused dosing pump? I use one of the channels on my dosing pump to "dose" rodi water into my tank. If you know how much top off water you use, you can set the pump accordingly.

It's something that may help till you get a new one in if A.C. doesn't carry any

I have a few options to get me by, including using a doser. I could even set up a drip fill system. It won't be perfect but it will help. Haven't figured out why, but my system evaporates more at night than during the day.

They had a couple of the neptunes in stock the other day.
Agh. One of the few options I wouldn't consider since I don't use my Apex anymore. Went with Profilux.

The Aquarium Shop may carry something too, I guess. Have only been there once.

Otherwise, I'll just order something NDA from BRS.

I believe the Apex ATO doesnt require the Apex head unit. It would work like the Tunze but with two optical sensors instead of one optical one float.
Of course i have the tunze. So i cant speak to the apex units fidelity

You are correct, it doesn't.

I was actually able to get my current ATO working again so the priority of this went way down. I'll still upgrade to a Tunze since I've heard such good things about them but now I can order it Monday with free shipping.

The Tunze works well, but I have say that the pump that comes with it is the noisiest thing in my system. I have substantial hearing loss and I can hear it from across the room. Maybe it is just mine, as I find it odd that more people don't complain about the whining pump. :(

Mine is in the garage. I wouldn’t be happy if it was in my living-room. So it depends on your tolerance for noise and where it is pumping from.
It isn’t crazy loud. But if I were watching TV it would steal my attention for a moment when it kicked on

I too have a Tunze... and yeah, you can hear the pump. It's not enough to bother me, but I can tell when it's running.

Still, it's a very reliable unit. Since I'm dosing Kalkwasser (via reactor) from my ATO, having one stick on would absolutely wipe out my tank. Having one I can trust is essential. I did have mine fail, but it failed OFF. Bad sensor. Tunze had me one on the way pretty quickly. No big deal. I've never seen or heard of one failing ON.
