So I left for 4 days and the jbj ato failed and found the back chamber low and barely enough water going in to support the return pump.
Will jbj replace the ato ?
I replaced all the water at once (probably wasn’t a good idea).
Any advice ?

How do your corals and fish look?

Do you know what your salinity was before you added it all back? (How big of a swing?). Did you match temperature when adding the water back? How big is your tank and how many gallons did you add back in?

Urchins are fragile and sensitive and a big, fast swing is not good for them.

Anything else looking bad?

The hammer and frogspawn look upset all other coral are open and not closed. I found the BTA and it’s open but in a the dark area of the the tank .bi color is pearching and pecking at the rocks like normal (only fish in the tank).
It went form 1.026 to 1.023. I did match the temp .The tank is 20 gallons, I don’t know how much freshwater I added back but I added it to the previous water line.

Honestly its a sit and wait now, as there is nothing else to do.

That wasn't a hate ful swing, but, the swing down was much slower than the swing up, and cooler water most likely.

Everything thing is going through a bit of a shock, but I think the recovery will be OK>

If the ATO failed to add water, how did the salinity go down? Do you mean it went from 1.023 to 1.026?

Sorry it went from 1.026 to 1.032.
Will the Monti every come back ?
It’s completely white
I’m more of softie, LPS person. Let me get some help for you

Monti cap is unlikely to make it back. Ask around... someone in your area is sure to be able to spare a frag. Monti cap's grow _fast_.

I'd be interested in knowing what failed on the JBL ATO. Float sensor, ECM, pump... I'm a Tunze guy, but the JBL is supposed to be a decent quality rig.

This is going to sound confusing but the In tank sensors works, I moved the sensor up and water comes up and out the hose. So why would the system fail?

It’s gonna be iffy to get someone on this thread to help with a JBJ ATO.

How about leave this thread open to help with your livestock and start another thread in the equipment forum
“Help with JBJ ATO”

That will help draw in people with that equipment for you

@Potatohead Helped me out with the ato.

My biggest concern out of the tank is the nem. It’s mouth is gaping open and it shrunk to the size of a penny, The foot still being attached gives me a lil bit of a relief.

I just wanted to give an update and say everything is doing well but the favia. It been receding on the edges. For some reason I got a GHA exsplosion.
