So my ato failed and dumped about 2g of kalkwaser saturated water into my 12g tank which has 8g of water volume. both float switches and a timer I use failed. Caught it right away due to my ink bird detecting the ato water being way colder and causing the temp to swing and the alarm went off and my father woke me up, took a quick ph reading and it was at 8.4 normally it is at 7.8. salinity had been diluted down to 1.020. did a water change to get the salinity back up to 1.026 and let the tank run for a hour. tested all my other parameters current number are

alk -12.1 dkh
ca - 410 ppm
mag - 1240 ppm

prior to going to bed I did a wc and my water test at the time was

Alkalinity 10.9 dkh
Calcium 425ppm
Magnesium 1320ppm

should I wait a few days so the corals adjust then adjust then take numbers again and adjust at that point? is there any other recommendations on what I should do. during the whole ordeal most corals were open. now they look upset which is understandable.

thanks in advance

I would stop dosing and let the ALK fall naturally. It isn't so high to where it is dangerous by itself......the swings are what you want to avoid. No sense it angering the coral again by causing another swing with water changes.
