Just setup a Tunze Osmolator 3155 on my 190 gallon reef tank. I have my feed hose emptying in my display tank. I was wondering if most people do this or if they discharge into their sump. I would like to discharge to my sump to reduce the amount of attachments on the rim of my display tank, but I am concerned about keeping the discharge in the sump higher than the reservoir to avoid back flow and overflow of my reservoir. How does everyone have their feed hose positioned?

I have mine dump into the sump. The tube is not submerged in the sump water. The ATO tank is on the floor at the same level as the sump with the pump on the bottom. In every tank I have had a 3155 they never kept siphoning into the sump even when the ATO water level is higher than the water level in the sump.

I put mine in the overflow compartment above the water line. That way it's higher than the reservoir, but still dumps into the sump.

I have my ATO set to dump into the return chamber. The water level in my sump is higher than my ATO container but I have the ATO tube above my water level so it doesn't siphon. Also if it did, I have a siphon break on my line just in case.
