ATO fill placement

My ATO sensors, main optical and back up float reside in my return pump chamber.
Does it matter which section is filled with replacement RODI.
I have more room for a reservoir closer to the over flow first chamber, can I just add there?

Yes. I have my sensors in the return pump section, but I prefer to have my RODI water closer to the other side of the sump so it has time to mix before going to the display.
