Hi all!

Dumb question probably: I have an AIO tank without sump, but I have a filter chamber in the back of the tank.
should I keep my ATO float switch in my main display "area" or where the return pump of the filter is? At the moment I have it in the display area
Because the level between the filter chambers and the main display is slightly different, when pumps turn off the ATO kicks in because the level in the display drops slightly.
To avoid problems I set up the ATO to check for water level only twice per day, so in case pumps fail I have time to find out.

You definitely want the ATO in the filter chamber. The display will stay at the same level unless the pumps are turned off. You want the filter section to be topped off as water evaporates.
