Ato for a sumpless tank??

Ok, so get a pump that can handle that head pressure without disturbing the water level so much it sends a false reading to the ato sensor.

I already got a pump, but diy keeps failing.so looking for a good ato system

If you're using a mechanical float switch you'll need to snail-proof it.

Oh there's a few that a really nice. The Hydor ATO is easy and simple and has an audible alarm if the water level gets too high. The new one from Apex looks really nice but will most likely be incredibly expensive because it says Apex on it. There's a number of others. Id say go read some reviews and use your best judgement on which one you like best.

I hate hydor, it failed twice, lost my a few corals. Thats why looking for other options

The float switch fails in a day, and i got 3 relays, they too fail in a day. I dont know the reason

I was having a similar issue with float switches burning out. I used a cheap peristaltic pump and paired it with a 12VDC power supply. I wired the pump's power supply through the float switch and assumed that the float switch would be able to switch the 12VDC without issue. Turns out that was not the case. I kept burning through float switches on a daily basis. I ended up getting a cheap time delay relay and putting that between the pump and the power supply. I now basically run the pump on a timer. It works rather well. The relay allows me to set an "off" time, which I set for a few hours, then an "on" time, which I set for a few minutes. Including the DC power supply, time delay relay, and the pump, I think my DIY solution cost about $30 US.

It's not perfect, as a constant ATO needs to be tweaked every once in a while, but I find myself adjusting the time every few months at most. And best of all, I don't have to worry about float switches.

I use the AutoAqua smart ATO link. works great, I have to reset it every once in awhile. It will beep to tell you when it needs resetting

Surprisingly the apex ATK is about the same price as the Tunze Osmolator. So if you have $200 to spend I'd go with the ATK for sure I know if I were in the market for one I'd do it in a heartbeat

I'm happy with my Tunze. It doesn't have to pump much height but is very reliable.

Love their ATO's, have two of the Micro units for the Coral and Fish QT's, they run really well.

I am running the APEX ATK on my DT, it has run seamlessly since I purchased it as long as I remember to keep the reservoir full...lots of fail safes, easy to use in either Stand Alone Mode or an Apex Connected Mode. I agree with @Mandrew if your going to $200, go with the ATK.
