Hello,

Any suggestions for an ATO that can fit one of the back chambers? I am thingking about smart ato but uncertain if this requires to have a sump.

Thanks!

I have never used the SMART ATO but usually the comments are good. You can just use a refill container under your tank. Hopefully others will chime in on that

Personally I have a Tunze 3155 on my IM38 running for a couple years. 5gl container under my tank with the pump in it and the sensors in the return pump section in the back of tank.

Thanks for the suggestions :)
Like I mentioned I do not have a sump, will one of these will work?

I don't have a sump or an aio. I just can't use my Vortech on Wave Pulse but rather I use Reefcrest so the float switch isn't bouncing up and down all the time. Being you plan on using it in the back compartment, either will work.

Smart doesn't need a sump. I have one on my 20L and LOVE it. I have the micro and the sensor is about the size of a penny. The full size version is about the size of a golf ball.

I just installed the tunze nano in the rear chamber of my Nuvo 20. For $99 you get a nice product with a good warranty. So far it works well and it's quiet.

I have the Tunze 3512 nano on my Nuvo 40 and I love it. The evaporation rate on this tank is unreal so you definitely need to put one on these nano tank.

You should of pick it up on Black Friday I got mine from bulk reef for 85 bucks!!

I'm using the Smart ATO Micro in my 33 gallon all in one, for the past 6 months. So far It has worked out great. The refill tank is positioned under the tank and the pump seems to have no problem lifting the water.
