It looks like it's all put together for you. All you have to do is mount that switch on that long black plastic piece to the height you want your water at. Plug in the ATO to the wall and the female end is where you plug in the pump.

Set the sensor at the water level you desire using the mounting bracket, plug the controller into the wall and plug a pump in the outlet on the controller. You'll place the pump in your water reservoir with tubing coming from the pump up into an area on the tank, I would suggest right where your return pump for the tank is.

How do I set the sensor when it keeps falling, they sent me twist ties although I don't know how to keep the sensor from falling down, here's a better pic of it

Try using zip ties in the holes drilled in the two bracket pieces.

It depends on the sensor, I would test to see how it reacts either the way you have it or inverted the other way. The hook on the long piece hooks onto the glass panel of the aquarium, so the long part would go inside the tank. I imagine there would be no harm in trimming it if you're going to have the sensor towards the top, just make sure that's going to be the final position for the sensor.

I want the sensor about this level, and the long mpunting bracket goes inside?
Sorry I'm asking so many questions, I'm going away for a bit and I don't want my tank turned into a salt flat when I come back

I would think it goes like this:

The blueish color is the glass.

Is this a screw? Is it holding anything on? If not that will probably be the screw to attach the float to the mounting bracket

IMO, the screw is there to securely attach the mounting bracket to the tank glass so that it doesn't dislocate. The black cable tie is for the float switch adjustment. Make sure you know the float switch orientation, it should turn on the pump at lowest point and off when floating above preset water level.

Yeah couldn't tell if it was on the hook part, overlooked it in the original pic

Turns out I could not use any of the parts wit hour having to re-arrange my tank, so I simply just cut around the top of the float sensor and wedged it in my filter, seems to work just as well, problem solved?
