I have a 75 gallon tank with a 40 gallon breeder for a sump and a trash can beside the stand for the ATO water. My 10 year old ATO has quit on me finally and I'd like to know what your all use to top off the return chambers in your sumps. I'm looking for something with a pump in the resevoir and sensors in the sump and the resevoir to alert when the reservoir is low

I use a Neptune ATK mainly because I have an Apex system, but it also works as a stand-alone setup.
Ditto. Mechanical and optical sensors for redundancy. Designed my sump to hold 5g fresh in a sealed compartment, tied into the RO/DI with a float valve. Good old days.

I'll have to read about those. I'm not sure what apex and neptune atk are. Thank you door the suggestion/information.

The Neptune ATK is the Auto Topup Kit, which includes the pump, two optical sensors, a float valve and the module to connect everything.

I can't tie mine to an RO/DI unit. I have a large trash can I fill up with RO water weekly

I would recommend either Tunze model. I have the nano and it's very sturdy. A plus is the electrical components aren't wet side at all.

Hydor smart level
Been working on a few of my tanks for 10+ years without issue

I use a Kamoer X1 Pro and have it configured to top off a certain amount per day and have my Apex configured with an optical sensor as a safety just in case the X1 Pro were to ever continue running. I've had this setup for about a year and a half and like it pretty well.

On my other tank with no Apex, same configuration, but no safety. However, I only fill the ATO reservoir to a certain amount.

That is perfect and will work with the pump it already have. Only part missing is is a reservoir low water level alert.
If pump runs for 5 minutes, without satisfying the max level sensor, alarm sounds. Think it’s five minutes, but it does have an alarm for that. It’s just not in the reservoir

I have the Reefloat 35ltr Pro4 kit, it's marketed as a plug and play system and it works brilliantly, I love the 8" diameter cap for top ups
