Hi people!
Just got the new g2 425.
Not a big fan of the reservoir placement and was wondering if anyone had ideas.

1. Has anyone moved the ATO reservoir on the other side of the cabinet on a stand or something?

2. Turn the reservoir into refugium, and if so how?

3. Any downside to the gravity ATO? I can maybe get tunze ATO as well

I found the float valve had a tendency to stick in the closed position. I dismantled & cleaned it a couple of times (in the first 3 weeks), but decided to scrap it.

Going on 16 months with my Red Sea float valve; zero issues so far.

It's generally difficult to stick as it gets flushed with rodi frequently, what do you think caused yours to stick?

Manufacturing fault, probably. It was the small plunger inside the float switch that didn't move freely. I suppose I could have asked RS for a replacement, but I decided to use the space for a Reefmat 1200.

oh yeah i should have stated that when i say float valve i mean aftermarket 3rd party ones, I generally don't like the aquarium company ones. I also like the non-adjustable models much better.

Thanks for the ideas guys, I’ll evaluate my options and see what works best for me
