Woke up this morning to splish splash footsteps on the way to get my coffee. Saturday I usually sleep in, but something made me get up early today, thank god I did. Turns out my ATO either didnt shut off, or created a syphon and emptied the 10gallon tank I have. Overflowed my sump and water everywhere. About 10 gallons or so throughout my downstairs. So prior to coffee, i spend 2 hours cleaning everything up and then I did some reconfiguring tonight but the level of anxiety I have is ridiculous. One, I dont want to wake up to the same thing all over again. I have tested it prob 15 times today with the float shut off. Raised the feeder hose so it doesnt keep a syphon when it shuts off. But more importantly, I have to go out of town as my mom was put in Hospice. Dealing with that is tough enough, but I have to leave everything to someone who knows nothing about aquariums. Mind you I have 2 pretty big setups, so all he is gonna do is come by once a day feed the fish, and later in the week top the ATO tanks off with RODI. Really just venting tonight, been goin through it with my mom, just got over bronchitis, and trying to keep up on my tanks.
