ok everyone I have a problem. Keep in mind Im new to the game....

I purchased a Hydor Smart Level Control ATO System. That system doesn't come with a return pump so I had to but one. Keep in mind the top of my tank is almost 6' high.

So here is where the problem lies......

When the sensor would recognize that the water was low the pump would turn on and start flowing water. But the pace was extremely fast and by the time the sensor sensed that it was high enough the water level was too high. I went to the store 3 different times and tried 3 different pumps. They were wither to fast with too much water or couldn't even get the water to the top of the tank.

So I am thinking about going to a Tunze Osmolator Universal 3155??????

Any thoughts? Who has that tunze? you like it?

What tubing? I diy"d and reducer to stop such a fast stream and it started working perfect I can take a picture after work

I'd buy the Tunze nano osmolator. I had one in my 40 and it was perfect. In fact I moved it to my new tank and it's perfect in there too. Plus you can't beat their support.

I have the Tunze Osmolator Universal 3155 running on my system, installed it and never looked back. Can't go wrong with the Tunze ATO in my book,

if you have not already do yourself a big favor and get the Tunze unit, Mu Hydor failed on and flooded my fish-room, Thank goodnes I lined the floor with a shower pan liner.. Also as you now know you can not talk to antone about the Hydor because they will not provide a phone number...
Best of all the Tunze will really keep your water level were you want it oppose the the Hydow that needs to drop a half inch in my 40 gal sump that's a lot of water before it would kick on. The Tunze works perfect for me.. Best money spent!!

I have the Tunze 3155 running on my fusion 40. Low level sensor in the pump chamber. I used stick on plastic mounts with wire ties to secure the water line to the inside and outside of the tank. So that the water line was not under water so you do not get back Siphon into the ATO tank.

You might try a slower pump, like the aqualifter. I bought a tunze universal from a local a few days ago. It's been working great. It's only been a few days, so I can't comment on long-term results. However, the reviews I've seen give me some confidence in the unit.

Adjustment was easy, and it never lets my level get more than a few millimeters off.
