My aqualifter pump that I have been using for about 3-4 years has started becoming unreliable. Did a teardown a week ago and cleaned off the rust on the magnets and then ran vinegar through the pump for about an hour to clean the internals. Seems about every other day or so it stops pumping and I have to blow through the inlet line and shake the pump to get it going again.
Read online in a few places that the diaphragms could be replaced and that they are really cheap. But seems that no one stocks them anymore. Google search led me to 1 website that wants $20 for it. Then on top of that a replacement pump is $60 dollars at BRS now. Anyone know why there are no parts available and the price is crazy high? Any other suggestions for alternatives? I am dosing Kalk in my ato.
