So im going out of the country soon and im trying to get things ready for my tank ie the auto feeder and i got a new ATO the problem im having is the ato turns on, pumps the water and the water will keep flowing i literally have to pull the pump out of the water to make it stop or pull the tub off what can i do to stop this?

the pump is in about 20 gallons of water dunno if that matters its not the controller the water will keep flowing even after the controller turns off i guess its some sort of siphon

Where does the line end? If it's lower than the water level in the ATO tank it will continue to syphon until the levels equalize

yea its lower then the level in the ato tank its not gonna be possible for me to make it lower at this point is there another possible option i did my best to draw the water line in to ato and the ato line into the sump below lol

The end of the ATO tube in the sump has to be above the high water line so it never goes under water level in the sump.

i believe i have figured it out theres an auto siphon break i was using and either it was blocked or the line coming up from the pump was pushed over it because i adjsusted it and widened the hole with a small screwdriver now its no longer back siphoning
