My ATO setup is as follows:

- 55gallon covered rubbermaid container
- Thin, hard airline sized tubing feeding into a Litermiter III and going directly into the sump

A few questions to those with a similar setup:

- How often should I clean the rubbermaid container, if ever?
- Is there any benefit to having a circulation pump in the rubbermaid?
- I'm trying to think of a good way to keep the darn tubing at the bottom of the rubbermaid container. It tends to want to migrate to the top and when the water gets low it can start pulling air. I was thinking of epoxying something heavy and aquarium soft to the tubing, but would like a more elegant solution.

1. I would think that a yearly clean wouldn't hurt. Be careful for phosphates leeching (this seems to be mixed from what I've read)
2. I can't foresee any
3. There are magnetic dosing line holders. Perhaps they make a single one that you can place at the bottom and run the line through it. You can then fit the line through the holder, and wrap a silicone o ring over the end of the line to keep it from popping out and up.

+1 once a year should be plenty. You could go out to two years if you really wanted to. They make magnetic tube holders. Which should work.

Use 1 of these with a small screen on the tube end.
