Hello,

I am looking for a cheap ATO container that is only 6 inches wide, so it can fit under the stand. I would like it to be clear so I can see when it’s running low. Also, the top needs to have a wide enough opening to get a pump inside it. Thanks in advance!

At 6 inch wide it might be tough to find something not custom . check out the variety stores in the household dept. I hsve a narrow container I got at Pet Smart for pet food. don't know if they had smaller narrow ones.
As for holes for a pump, if you go with a tunze you only need small holes for water line out & power in. Don't know about other types.

I got a used hydor ATO system and bought a pump for it off amazon. The demensions of the pump are 2.75" x 2" x 2.62" (L x W x H).

Check aliexpress.com You would be shocked out how inexpensive some things are there.

Also, try a cereal container from walmart. They hold about 2.5 gallons have a snap lid and are narrow and tall.

He said cheap. I love Melev's stuff but cheap is not a word that would be in the same sentence. ;):)
Ohhh sorry, I forgot the Cheap word. Well on that case you can do what I did. Went to Wal-Mart and got a 5g clear container for $6 and make my own Gravity ATO. Maybe you can find a container that has your dimensions.

We have all done it. Isn't it amazing how much stuff reefers use that was never intended for an aquarium?

WWC sells a 2.5 gal water jug that might work or you probably could find 1 local to you. It cost 7.99 for the jug and has a decent size opening to fit a pump.

“cheap” is subjective. ;)

Go to Petco or Petsmart and look in the dog/cat food container isle.
You may find the perfect sized container for cheap.
I use a large dog food container for my topoff reservoir on 50 gallon tank.
I even use the same size one to mix kalkwasser for the topoff water.

Well ended up going dog food container outside the stand. Isn’t ideal, but doesn’t look too terrible. It’s just way too tight already under that stand.
