ATO Siphon Solenoid, Pump Needed?

My ATO reservoir is above my sump. As a result, anytime I run a top-off pump - a siphon is created.

I know I can use a peristaltic pump to prevent the siphon, but what about using a solenoid and just always assuming the siphon is active?

Would this work? does anyone operate their ATO like this? I could also use a float valve for redundancy.

A solenoid valve with the line terminating through a float valve would be a great thing
