My tank is ready to go...last bucket going in to fill the sump! However need an ATO with pump that is not gonna break the bank (100$) but works good! Any suggestions in a good but reasonable priced ATO??? Lord knows I spent 1000's putting this up and I still need more equipment.

You can get a 5-10g tote at walmart or something(you can go cheaper at $1store). Drill a hole on the bottom and attach a 1/4” fitting and you have yourself a gravity drip topoff. You can get a floater on ebay for around $10-20.

There's a magnetic holding ATO with pump which is selling at Amazon and just USD 39.9. Seems it fits what you need.

I've run a jbj ato with an accella powerhead for years with no issues. If you're looking for something on the cheaper side of name brand that is. Marine depot sells the two together.

I went with the BRS ATO kit, the aqualifter pump and I had a 5gal water container (it's like a milk container on steriods). The DIY was very easy to assemble and it has two float switches to prevent over flow from a main switch failure. The plastic that holds the floats in place is a bit cheap, but I am still using it a few years later.

you can get the pump for $30 for a total of $75 and the sacrifice of a house hold extension cord.

No such thing in this hobby. It's either cheap and garbage, or expensive, and garbage. The every once in a while something comes along that is decently priced, and actually works as advertised.

With that said, I will not buy any other ATO then a Tunze 3155. Not in your price range, but none of the decent ones really are.

Actually I got one that uses a light sensor and has been doing a great job!
