Hi does anyone have any affordable ATO systems that they recommend ?

What does affordable mean, lol. The Tunze is affordable to me and just works and have no worries with it.

Float valve a high ato reservoir will do the trick.

I made my own ATO with a float valve, relay, cheap pump, extension cord, and a 5 gallon bucket that i put inside my stand it cost roughly $30. been working flawlessly for over a year now. if youre trying to save some money id go that route

What ever you do... DONT do the DIY setup where you run 120v through the float valve.. thats just asking for trouble. I personally run a APEX with a breakout box and multiple float valves but there are other options.

I'm getting ready to try the tunze 3152. I have a smaller aio. Not much room in the back for a diy float switch.

Well I was planning on using maybe a 5 gallon bucket as a reservoir and then I would just need the ato unit right ?

That is what I was planning on doing. Drilling a couple holes in the lid off an old salt bucket. Just not sure on how the tight lid will be too open under the stand. Maybe I will just lay it on the bucket.
