i currently have A DIY kalk stirrer that sits in my ato reserve. but can i add salt to the ato to add salinity to the tank. i always have done so in the past but using a kalk stirrer that feeds off my ato its controlled dosing off my apex using a dos .will the mix play havoc with my salt that im trying too add . any ideas would be appreciated

Salt don't evaporate with the water so you shouldn't have to add it back.
Exception if you are skimming very very wet and removing a very large amount of saltwater.
If skimming normal, adding saltwater would normally increase your salinity.

I'm not sure if saltwater going into the kalk stirrer would affect the chemistry of either.

You can certainly raise salinity by putting salt water in your ato. That’s perhaps the best way to raise salinity.

But you cannot use kalkwasser in that scenario. It will precipitate magnesium hydroxide and carbonate, and calcium carbonate in it.
