Hey fellow Reefers, I noticed something weird with my ATO in the last month or so. It turns OFF and sends an alarm saying there is an ERROR on SYSTEM. I am not sure what the issue is, but I have to constantly TURN the SWITCH back on the controller. Did it two times (Today Aug 16th 2020). Also, there are times that the LOW sensor is obviously above water and the SWITCH is OPENED for over an hour, but the ATO does NOT turn on in order for it to TOP-OFF...Not sure if I need to clean the HIGH/LOW solenoids...Any help will be greatly appreciated. I would say that the ATO-RE is working perfect; ATO Pump is in 5 gallon container (ATO-RE) and High/Low sensors are in my RETURN CHAMBER.

The error condition is triggered if the output is on for longer that the “When On” timer. This could be caused by the pump failing to move water, or not moving water fast enough.

Follow the troubleshooting steps in my ATK Tutorial: https://www.reef2reef.com/ams/neptu...torials-part-3-automatic-top-off-kit-atk.692/

Aside from this issue, you need to change your ATO-RE line of code. The way you currently have it set it will turn on the ATO pump when the reservoir is empty. Change it to this:

If ATO-RE OPEN Then OFF

Thx for your reply...Funny thing, that post was the one I went to when I purchased the ATO/FMM...After reading it again, my pump DOES stay on for a little longer than normal and it feels like it is struggling to pump water into the chamber (and they are right next to each other)...I just submitted a Neptune ticket...

I'd never use a tank controller to run an ATO (I use a Tunze ATO which has it's own controller that has never failed me). ATO pumps do wear out over time. (especially if you run Kalk in the ATO). Maybe it's just time for a new pump?

Thx for the reply...I do not know if its time already...how long do they normally last? I only had it for little more than a year and a half. I do not run anything other than RO Water with it...
