Ato water smells

I recently added an ATO to my system. I put 3 gallons in a 5 gallon bucket under my tank it tops off about 1 gallon a day. But after a day it has a bad order. I use rodi water. And never had this problem when storing water in my basement. Can anyone tell me why and or how to prevent this from happening. Is it imagine the order was from something growing in the water. Thanks and advance

When was last time you replaced your filters? Do you have a TDS meter? Have you cleaned the top off bucket?

It's not uncommon for purified water to sour and have an odor during storage, because it's purified it tends to pull in things if it's exposed to the air.

you do need to sterilize the container from time to time. generally its bacterial build up. Id bet the inside of the container is "slippery" thats bacteria. I use tap water a few drops of bleach and set it in the sun after rinsing well.

Household dust is mostly human skin.

I do have a tds meatier and it reads 0 after the rodi. The container is not slippery but I will clean one with some vinegar and try again. Thanks
