When I go onto bulk reef supply they have 2 different types of ato sixes for the tunze and the smart ato and my tank is 46 gallons so I would want the nano size one right? The tunze nano says that it's for upto 55 gallons and I'm not sure about the smart ato because I'm leaning towards the tunze so can someone help me out with this

Ive got the larger tunze and an auto aqua smart ato. Both are very good and either will work for you. The bigger tunze has a float amd optical sensor so you get an extra fail safe. I believe the smaller tunze lacks the float.
The auto aqua pump is much quieter than the tunze so i use that in our bedroom 32 and it works great.

I also have the larger one, I ran it on my 30G inside the controller is a little screw that you can turn to "Nano" so it would be fine for your tank if you open it up and turn it down. Like stated above I went this route for the added fail safe features that come with the larger unit. It was the best purchase for my tank so far. Keeps my salinity rock solid.

I have a 55 gallon mixed reef w/o a sump, so I got the Auto Aqua ATO Micro and love it!!! I’ve had it for almost a year now w/o any problems. I like how small the sensor is, because without a sump, I have an HOB filter and HOB skimmer, and didn’t want to have a relatively large sensor for the ATO.

And you can adjust the 3155 for a Nano setup if you open up the controller and dial back the flow.
