hello fellows reefer
i have a question ato setup
what is the best way to route ato
ro/di system direct to sump or to reservoir then to a sump

I have sensor in sump area that is the calmest and pump in reservoir container in which sensor activates the pump when water is needed

any particular reason why you choose reservoir to sump instead of direct to sump?

I like reservoir to sump because it is a finite amount.

If using a controller, I don't think it matters a whole lot (a controller can shut off the ATO if a decrease in salinity is detected). If not using a controller, than definitely first to a small to moderate sized reservoir so that you have a finite amount of water that will be pumped into the sump if something fails).
