This is my new sump that Rick and Travis built for me. Excuse the mess, I'm water testing Everthing now. This thing can flow some water, my pump pushes 2600gph at 0' head so I figure I'm pushing at least 1500 thru it no problem. The pump is VS so I'm running it at a lower setting at the moment. Quality is top notch. Thanks Atomic Reef!!

no pic or the link isnt showing. oh and i just ordered a sump myself i will start a build thread but no sneak peaks at the sump system.

That one is for carbon but I'm going to buy the kalk, calcium, and bio pellet reactors when they get them built.

I am really stoked to see such quality work coming from our own club, and the support we are giving them is even better. Looking forward to seeing an awesome tank with the true Atomic Reef System from you. No pressure...:bounce:

just curious. but is there a need for both a calcium and kalc. i just havent heard of anyone using both. its peaking my interest, but shouldnt the calcium reactor take care of all mineral dosing.

Calcium reactors have a tendency to drop a tank's PH over time due to the low ph effluent. Kalk reaactors with there higher PH effluent will counter the calcium reactors low ph effluent. With a heavily coral stocked tank the calcium reactor is needed to keep with with the demand and the kalk reactor balances the PH dips. In a small system or low demand system, a kalk reactor may be suffice to keep up with the needs for calcium without a calcium reactor.
