Are all ATO's created equal more or less? Anything I should look for when shopping for one? Any particular model you recommend? Thanks!

they are different, but generally you like something with extra fail safes.

JBJ ATO and tunze are real good.

However if you get a reefkeeper or apex, you they can do this with just a float or 2. So keep that in mind if dropping $100-$200 just on ATO!!

I prefer apex over reefkeeper. But the reefkeeper elite will do ATO with just floats while apex or apex lite will require the breakout box to use float switches

I'm just looking for an ATO at the moment, no apex for now. I'll look into the JBJ and Tunze, much thanks!!!

i just run a timer with a aqualifter pump for a few mins a day twice a day. about as basic as you can get but it works.

Got a tunze best one I have ever had never had a problem with it over the years.

Awesome! Is this the one I should be looking at? Tunza Osmolator Nano 3152 for my 29g?

Tunze Osmolator Nano 3152

Other than that kit, just a bucket and I'm good to go right?

Also, how fail safe is this? I'll be needing the ATO because I'm planning a 2.5 week vacation.

Jbj is on sale right now. $80. I'm also looking for an ato.

Which one would be recommended most?

I'm using an innovative marine 10g tank.

Sorry not trying to thread jack but on topic.
