what's the best way to attach a Colt coral to a rock? I've tried a toothpick and tie the toothpick to a rock but it tore off. Would corrafix or superglue work?

Depending on where you trying to attach it you can sew it to a rock.
I use a needle and thread and sew them to small rocks. I then use
super glue or epoxy to attach it to the rocks in my tank. After they
are attached you can cut the thread and take it off. I use this with
all my softies.

i use the bridal veil technique. put the coral on the LR you want it to attach to and cover the coral with the bridal veil, then bunch the other end and rubber band it. doesn't need to be super tight just tight enuff. been successful with xenia, toadstool, leather coral...etc...etc... still gotta try rics tho!

+1 this always works - i always just use regular thread and sew it through the coral (a good 1/4" of flesh 2 -3 times depending on size) and in a couple weeks it will be attached to the rock

Just put mine in a whole on a rock and it attached in less than a week.

Tried the rubber band had it to tight and ended up with 2 colts lol

Be careful with that stuff as it can take over your tank quickly. It was the biggest mistake i've ever made with coral. 4yrs later i still pick it out like weeds.

yo bro i got ALOT of bridal veil. Pm me an i can meet u!
secret, sorry i didn't check my posts in a while. Shoots on the veil. pm me when u got time. I picked up some nylon netting from ben franklin and it holds well but i just checked the colts and they haven't attached yet. it's been about a week. The polyps are poking through the holes so I loosened the netting a little.

yeah no prob. you in k area right? pm me oh yeah and usually took me about 2-3 weeks for the colt/leather stuff to attach. just gotta be patient. and double up on luke33's post they can OVERTAKE the tank if you're not careful. thats why i don't have leather/xenia/colts in my tank anymore :tongue::tongue::tongue:
