Attaching a RODI unit in a different country

Hi,

I purchased the aquaticlife RODI buddy recently but can't find a way to connect it to my faucet. I live in Tokyo and they work in mm so the sizing is different. I've tried connecting a bunch of tubes together from wider to thinner but it won't work. I've also tried using super glue and silicon to attach it to a connector that fits the Japanese faucet but the pressure from the tap just blows it off or creates huge spurts of water out the side.
Please help..... I want to put quality water in my tank (not dechlorinated tap water)

Have no experience with in Tokyo but you should be able to get a push connect fitting that threads onto your tap then you can cut off the exsisting one and push your new one on.

Have you tried looking for an adapter? Try Amazon or Ali. If you need the dimension of one of our (USA) aerator let me know & I’ll get it.

You need an adapter, mm to inches, then mm to the faucet, standard to the unit.

It should be the 55/64” female.

I bought a vertex system from the US (live in Hong Kong) and needed to to put two adapters. I forget the exact sizes. But was able to buy at a local hardware store.

Thanks everyone. I went to a bunch of different hardware stores and didn't have any luck. What I ended doing was using sandpaper to take off the thread from the RODI plastic connector. Then I superglued it to a Japanese connector and covered the seal with silicon. It seems to be working so far. I used it for about 3 hours this morning and there were no problems.
