I have alot of chalice frags on disks that I want to place around my rockwork but as you know, they can slide and slip around. Is there anything good that I can use to attach my disks to the rock but also be able to remove them when I want? I was thinking of using a tiny bit of reef putty (like aquastik) under the disk but didn't know if anyone had better ideas?

Aquamend from home depot. :) Just don't attach it directly to corals and you will need to turn your skimmer off for a while.

I use waterweld from walmart. never had a problem with my skimmer and I have used it to mount corals directly with no problems.

I'll look into those. Are either of those super strong or messy? I want to be able to break the bond and remove the disk and not leave a mess.

i love the ecotech glue its a bit pricey but it works really well and if u needed to you could apply underwater or theres anotehr glue thats cheaper but works well too i dont have the name on hand but i will post it asap

super glue gell on disk, then add wad of aquamend or other underwater epoxy putty, then another squirt of super glue gell on putty, then press on live rock. will bond to rock but you can remove with a little prying.

+1
If I just used underwater epoxy alone, it won't stick well. I learned this trick from my LFS a couple of years ago.

The frag disk will break away with a nice pull or tug with the aquamend. But it doesn't come off the rock as easy.

Sounds like the "trick" I was looking for...I'll give it a try!

That's a great tip. Thank you!
