Attaching Macro to ? in Reef Tank

So I have this tank, see. Mix up reef type. Parts have big rip currents some have none. Some big ole rocks and sand on the bottom. And its 5' x 5' x 3' tall, see. Whats do y'all attach the cuttings two, that come from them there online sites? Or does ya just let er float til it finds them the homes?

There are a few ways to do it.... You can use a rubber band or string and tie it. Or you could just stick it under a rock. Depends on the inhabitants and the macro? You can even super glue some.
