I like your idea about visiting Alabaster. That way Gary can get his tank ready for the Sept meeting. One of these days we need to go to the Georgia Aquarium.
 
Paul and I are going to ride down to Alabaster on Sunday. I will see if they would be interested in hosting our meeting, I will let everyone know. I know that he has a special that he runs on the first saturday of the month, buy two corals and get one free, maybe we can get him to do something like that for us. We'll see.

I don't know how many would be interested, but I'd save Alabaster for down the road and plan to go to Chattanooga for the swap. The drive up is similar to what we did this past meeting and if we can get a few more passengers, all the better.

To be honest, it was nice that the conversation was free flowing and varied. It wasn't all tanks, but I have a feeling that we have more in common than just saltwater... other than being at Paul's "dork" meeting. :)

Just a thought.
 
I am not going to be able to make the Chattanooga swap, I will be in Mobile that weekend for my 30 year high school class renunion. But if ya'll want to use that as the August meeting, that would be fine with me.

I was hoping to go up to Chattanooga for the frag swap. It looks like I should get to go. If we went as a group, would anyone be interested in seeing the Tennessee Aquarium?
 
Ricky, apparently I went braindead 'cause I'm pretty sure you mentioned it during the July meeting. We're in overload in August here at the house... but that's the world we signed up for.
 
If ya'll want to go to Chatanooga, don't let me not being able to stop ya'll. Just take some pics and have a good time. I am sure we can come up with something else to do latter in the month.

They were closed on Sunday when I went down there, I am planning to go back on Saturday. As soon as I have some info, I will let everyone know.
 
Went ot ALabaster today, Daryl wasn't there. I don't know how feasable having the meeting there would be. Maybe a trip to Montgomery?

Going out of town this month will be impossible for me. We're slowly moving my parents to Smith Lake on the weekends. I do know that we are near Jason and Tammy's house. If ya'll want we can ask them to host the meeting (if it's not to short of a notice) so we can see their frag's and then come back to our place and play on the water if it's not too late. Which weekend is the Chattanooga frag swap?
 
I am going out of town this weekend so I won't be making the trip to Chat. Paul and I talked about waiting until early in Sept. to have a meeting at my place again. I have been contacted by some potential new members. I am thinking 9-13-09, that is a Sunday and it happens to be my B-day.

I will host the meeting and will gladly accept any frags as B-day presents "hint, hint"

I will cook a pork shoulder on the grill that day if everyone wants to do this, LMK.

How has school been going so for Gnoles? Brayden seems to like being at big school so for.

We need to fig. out what we are doing for a meeting got some new guys wanting to attend
 
School has been hectic. The opening week is a nightmare no matter what, but my two are settled and seem to like their teachers. My week is chaotic no matter what. I'm about a month behind in paperwork and we've been there two days.

I'm still leaning on going to Chattanooga tomorrow, if anyone's wanting to ride.
