With a house move on the horizon it was time to change things up, i decided to simplify my reefing life in the process so the idea was to shut down several smaller systems, revert to a simpler form of reefing minimal equipment and such, convert an prop tank into a top down display "The Tub" and rebuild the setup as one system including a traditional display tank and the tub.

This thread will be a mix of my display, the tub and my reefing life in general. Hope you enjoy it.

Display Tank 5x2x1.5
Display Lighting 8 x 54w T5
Stand: DIY
Water Circulation 2 x Tunze 6095, 2 x Tunze 6045

Display Tub 7x3x1
Display Lighting LED
Stand: DIY

Sump 4x18x18
Refugium Remote 3x18x18
System Water ASW with the occasional NSW water change
Lighting
LED
Return Pump:Jebao DC
Skimmer: BK Supermarin 200 + RD3
Evaporation Top Up Pacific Sun Kore 5th

Amazing job! Can't wait for more photos!

With this build I decided to go back to basics and keep thing as simple as possible. Skimming is taken care of by an RE Supermarin 250 with RD3, Filtration consists of filter floss media and live rock housed in a 4x18x18 sump. A 3x18x18 refug sits plumbed into the sump which houses Calurpera and Cheato which is lit 24hrs a day in separate sections. Flow is directed from the return pump in the sump into two directions, 1. into the fuge which cycles back into the sump return section and 2. flows into the SPS/Mixed reef display tank. The overflow from the display in turn supplies the tub which overflows into the sump. Theory is all live cultures living in the fuge, additives or food are firstly supplied to the display tank before flowing into tub and then the sump, this give the system ample time to take in and utilise all the goodness before being returned to the sump where most would be removed. The tub is yet to be cladded to make it look spiffy

Did some fragging and had the camera with me so took a few shots. I had a few issues last week which wasn't great. my Alk dropped  which isn't great, my PacSun Kore 5 and I don't always seam to get along and my 3 year old decided to do some aquascaping in my display tank for me, dislodged about 20 corals and rearranged my rock. Took me a few days to get to it to sort it out but all is back to normal now apart from three coral losses, Meteor Cyphastrea, Green Staghorne and Green with blue tipped Acropora. Couldn't stay mad after he said he was helping daddy fish garden o_O lol
