Aussie Gold Closed up With Brown Spot on Head

Hey everyone! I've had my aussie gold torch for roughly 2 years now with no problem whatsoever. This morning I woke up to with the heads closed, and a brown, fleshy spot exposed (top head in attached photo). I tried lightly poking it, and it seems to be a part of the coral since it did not budge. Almost as if the skin has ripped, exposing the flesh beneath. What could this be? Any tips? Help would be greatly appreciated!
