Aussie Gold Torch and Holy Grail Torch

I am looking for either an Aussie Gold or Holy Grail Torch and they are definitely pricey. Which one truly has more value and what is a fair price for either. Seems like Aussie Gold's are going for 200-500 and Holy Grail's are going for 500-1000. Any advice would be great, don't want to just throw my money away and they appear to be stunning.

Euphyllia corals have gone way up lately, especially high-end torches. To put things in perspective, I paid $100 per head on my Gold Torch at MACNA 2017 and that was almost 2 years ago. Either is a great coral to have and you should pick the one you like to look at the most, not necessarily which one is more valuable money-wise.

I'm on the lookout for a holy grail, but I will probably wait until a large trade show where I can shop around and see a ton at once and hopefully get the best price. Even then it will probably be a small frag of a holy grail and not one of those beautiful show pieces you see on WYSIWYG listings.

Thanks for the advice. I found a wonderful Aussie Gold WYSIWIG and they are absolutely fabulous online and I have yet to see one in person, being from Nebraska and all you don't see them in local stores. I think I'm going to get it and it is valued in the upper 200 range. Do you think it is worth that kind of money today or is that high priced. Thanks,

Really depends on the size and how many heads it has. Like I said, they've gone up lately, my first coral was a regular brown torch that I got for $25 5 years ago, that same torch would be like $50-75 now. Whose to say what it will be like in another few years. I, like I imagine you are doing, bought my gold torch as an investment piece thinking if I ever got in the grow out and fragging business, it would be a great piece to have to get some money flowing, but so far I've just been enjoying in my tank. Either way I think you'll be pleased with it
