Hey guys!

So I've heard how Aussie Gold Torches can be sensitive and don't last very long in our home aquariums. I was curious as to what everyone's experience with them has been? I also would like to know what temp you keep your tanks at because I've heard a rumor that they like cooler temps.

Let's see if we can figure this out!!

Happy Reefing!

Just have 1 Aussie gold but several other Aussie torches ( black, green) and besides July and August tank stays between 78.6-80 but summer can go to 83 and I have never seen any negative reaction. Hell My shop got one shipped and sat an extra day in Memphis in January from “F”-UPS and when he got it the water was 68 degrees and the torch was out and swole in the bag. The word is they are way more sensitive but I have seen they are just like other torches. I do believe they are worse for bacteria infections though. Mine is definitely my baby though

Euphilias In General are very easy to keep, that’s why they are amongs the most popular ones, most tank will have at least one of its variations hammers, torch or frogspawns, my tank is on the warm side 78-82 is my range summer and winter

beautiful torch! I guess they can be pretty hardy if they can go through all that beating and make it out okay

Black torch? I want to see pics of this!

My torch could survive a nuclear bomb. I've made several hundred dollars off the frags I make off of it. My torch loves flow and light.
Any tips on fast growth??

I haven't a clue. My Torch has made it through every blunder I've made and keeps on trucking along. I have it on it's own frag rack near the top of my tank and it gets a ton of indirect flow. I think strong indirect flow is key.
