I came home from work today and noticed one of the heads on my aussie gold was decaying. Im not sure why when everything was all good yesterday.

other head is normal and open and flowing like usual. There isnt any coral near it with sweepers that could affect it either.

Im curious if this has happened to anyone before. All parameters are in check and consistent. All other pieces in the tank are doing great as well. Any suggestions would help

Looks like it could be brown jelly disease. Is there any way to break that head off?

Heavy iodine dip. If it has a very foul smell it is brown jelly disease and is most likely a goner. If it's brown jelly it could potentially spread to other euphyllia in the tank. Might have to make a decision to save it or toss it. (if that's the case)

Cut the head off ASAP BJD will spread to the other heads and possibly others i
Elsewhere in the tank. Sorry but that’s safe thing to do.
