Sorry to interrupt the showing off of these sweet corals...

BUT! Does anyone know why these only seem to be coming into a few stores in Canada? I know online shops here in the U.S. have started getting them, but are they just importing/smuggling them in from canada?

I would think the US market and importers being larger than canada would get them first, or at least in a greater quantity.

Still trying to do some research and see if these are legal or not...

Yes... they're Legit and with CITES permit as well. Our local LFS' have the documents to prove .....
Why are we Canadians getting most of the Aussie stuffs....I think it has to do being associated with the British colony....:hammer:

there's also a LFS here in MI that got some... I think they got them from wholesaler in Cali.. dunno for sure though...

awesome eye candies everyone... I can only admire from a far... :)

They are legal for import into the US. No one is smuggling them. The Australians have have full cities to import SPS,LPS, and fish to USA. The CITIES is allowing a huge flow of these corals right now. I just talked to my wholesaler and he said everyone with a boat in Australia is taking advantage of the craze. I just ordered 20 colonies and it was all legal. All the talk of LFS going to Canada to pick these pieces up is a myth.

I think that too, But i didnt want to offend canadians and the ones i know wont admit that. My wife has family from there and i asked that before, and they said no the only thing that they have in common is the queens pics are on the money. :)

The ONLY issue to offend both Canadian and American reefers is the NO easy access to cross the borders...so we can trade and do our Corals swap ...:horse:
Free Trade sucks...:hammer:

Here are a couple more of mine. I hope to get some more soon!

Your Acans are really hungry....feed them so they'll grow more baby polyps for us future frag buyers...:hammer:

I picked up a few more colonies, including some Bowerbanki and Hillae colonies.

It was a late night last night, so no good shots of them settled, but here's a couple shots of them acclimating.

Two of those corals are not Acans.
