Hello everyone-
I have a pair of blue/grey carpet sharks that are approximately 4+yrs old.
These sharks were purchased originally, by a friend of mine, from an lfs misidentified as bamboo cat sharks.
I then purchased them from my friend.
These sharks come from a couple of small bay areas just off of Australia's coast near Queensburough, and are have been on the "vulnerable sp" list, I am not
certain as to the present listing of this sp. These are nocturnal sharks that sleep on the substrate under rock formations.
These sharks are not fish safe- each measure about 24" long and look almost identical to a bamboo cat but have the color of a nurse shark with their darker,
juvenile stripes almost gone. They will eat just about any fish smaller than a tang- but have Zero behavioral problems or "bad habits".
My Sailfin tang likes to sleep next to them- go figure-

This pr is presently in a 300g rubbermaid tub that has been their home for approx. 1 1/2yrs. (Btw- this tub is a Full mixed reef).

I would like to re-home them, but will not if it means risking their health. (beyond acclimation to a new environment).
Anyone interested will need to show in "good faith" pictures of their set-up they wish to house them in.
They are a bonded pr. and should be housed with a safe environment to breed.

I will consider interested parties that have experience keeping sharks.

The re-homing requirement is 500 (and new owner is responsible for shipping costs)
Pics to follow.

A friend in the area has had his 1300 gallon tank up and running in his new home for about 7 months now with a rainbow grouper and is looking to get a pair of sharks once he sells it. He was looking for port jackson horn or carpet. Please post pics when you can. Forgot to mention he has kept nurse, black tip, cat, smooth hound and wobbygong

This is a pic of the female.
I also took pics of the male that is just slightly larger in girth.

Sorry guys- pic was taken by my daughter and the tank had been asleep for hours.......
both of the sharks, I did rub their noses and ,therefore, they were in a semi-isotonic state for the pics.

Nice lookin shark
With sincere appreciation of your kind word,
it is important to me that I do my very best for any and all livestock that I adopt,
because by doing so, I have chosen to accept full responsibility for the daily care of each individual life.

Here is a pic of the male.
He is slightly shorter as should be, but is plenty fat......

the zero edge gives a reference as to the size of these beauties.

Thanks Again!
