Good Morning!
I received an Australian Dendrophyllia yesterday from an online vendor. It has not yet opened. I was wondering if it was just shy/shock or DOA? I put some mysis over by it to try and lure it out (to no avail). Then tried some reef roids as well, and no luck. A few of my nassarius were eager to clean up and one actually went right on top. Pics below if it helps.

Give it some timr. I don't see anything wrong so far. Maybe move to different flow over a few days.

Keep enticing it wit some food same time everyday.

I'll keep trying. It's NPS, so I have it where it is blocked from the light. Looks healthy otherwise, but I have never owned one and was afraid I wasn't seeing something that may be obvious to someone who has kept them before.

Still playing with it. Not sure how I'd achieve the desired flow without exposing it to light...

Some light won't hurt it. Mines definitely getting light under a very small over hang. NPS just means it doesn't feed on light. You can certainly give it some, just keep it in a milder area so to speak.

Thank you. I'll give a few more spots a shot then. I had read they live in very dark areas, so I was keeping in "caves" in my tank
