Haha no kidding! Unfortunately it’s likely much less for you guys since our companies have to pay you guys to collect it, then pay for shipping and import fees, cites paperwork (is that necessary for rock? I have no idea), etc…I’d imagine your collectors are probably paid somewhere around $3-$5 USD per poundThis is crazy! USD$25 per pound

Yeah. Not to rub it in. I‘ve seen it here for about AUD$10 per kg. Which is I think about USD $3.50 per pound.
I’m thinking of a bulk buy direct shipment of 50T (delivered to an offshore point )
Return via South America with a backload of goodies.

Nothing to report on my 4g piece. Most all the color is gone. Nice shape and hopefully some bacterial diversity.
I wont be buying anymore.
I do have about 30lbs of dead live rock in my frags sump. I will continue to do this and have another 40lbs I just removed from a 55g drum after cleaning. They are sitting in my backyard. I will let them dry in the 100° + weather for a few days and then they will go into boxes for future use.

Just got my Aussie live rock from Unique. Ordered 7lbs. Got one big piece. Great form and it fits perfectly in my 10g nano. No pests yet. Some coralline left. Some black sponge. A ball anemone. One stony coral survived—looks like some sort of a cup coral. A few brittle stars and a peanut worm. Lots of detritus.
Arrived smelling fresh and no ammonia spike at all.

That’s some pretty dinky looking rock for $25/lbJust got my Aussie live rock from Unique. Ordered 7lbs. Got one big piece. Great form and it fits perfectly in my 10g nano. No pests yet. Some coralline left. Some black sponge. A ball anemone. One stony coral survived—looks like some sort of a cup coral. A few brittle stars and a peanut worm. Lots of detritus.

Wet rock holds water which increases the weight. That is any live rock though.

How much water could a ‘wet rock’ possibly hold?
