I just purchased a Australian Lord acen a few days ago and its not coming out. What are some of the water conditions that best suit this coral?

Yes welcome to R2R!
Your source for information and great people :-)
May I ask how you acclimated it to the water and your lighting?
There is so much involved in keeping a specimen happy.
We would need to know about your water and lighting plus my question above.

I acclimated it just like I would a fish. I was at work when they arrived so I just had my roommate leave them in the package floating in my tank for about an hour and a half till I got home. I grab the bowl and I drip line some of my water into it for about a half an hour with a smaller version of my lighting. I was reading that they like mid to low lighting so I have it on a rock midway up with medium flow

The trouble of me putting in the sad bed is that I have a dragon wrasse that likes playing in the sand. I'm running a 48 inch odyssey T5 with 1 daylight 1 coral plus 1 purple plus and 1 actinic

Can you find a spot in the rockwork that will shade it a little more?

Yes I believe I have a spot. What are some of the water conditions you guys have for your acen?

Conditions well my tank is 78 degrees, 440 cal, 8 DKH, nitrates 2ppm, po4 .016 random water flow.
They are resilient once situated to the tank.
Oh and they love food :-)

Mine is very close to yours except for the temperature I keep mine at at 80 degrees. I heard that they like mysis shrimp, copepods, and plankton what is your lighting on your tank if I may ask?. I've been doing saltwater tanks for about a year and a half now but I'm just starting to add coral

Ive had issues with fish poking/nipping at new corals. Try to place a clear dixie cup with holes cut in it over the frag. Just one of many possible issues

I use the Orphek atlantik for lighting. And correct they love mysis!
