Wow what a beaut! Very nice!

Looks great!
Thanks!

that's awesome. there's something awesome about 6' tanks. :)
Thanks! Yes there is but im wishing i would of upgraded to a 180 or bigger with this recent move. it lacks depth. Very hard to aquascape specially with 2 overflows that are not on the corners. Next upgrade will be a deepeer tank. been looking at the 185. Only 5ft but 30 in deep..

update!

Here are the pics of other stuff i have been working on the last 2 weeks.

this is the main reason for the tank move
Man cave in progress. i finally got the go ahead.

I finished this wall first so i could move the tank and continue with the project.
this going to be the color of the room. the bottom half is going to be shaker style weins coating that im doing myself. it is going to be wrapped around the tank and the tank will be painted the same to blend with the surroundings.

While i moved the tank i used my 40B i use for water changes and housed all the corals and fish. i had a penguin 330 HOB, penguin 170 HOB that i had laying around from when i was breeding freshwater angelfish. along with 2 power heads for flow. i also took one of my MH and made a makeshift temporary canopy for light. they where housed in that tank for a week with no problems. unfortunately i did not take enough pics of this little set up but here is something to somewhat show you what i had. You will also see why the man cave had to be started .

The rest of the live rock was kept in the sump with powerheads for flow.

I did some piping that i have been wanting to do for a while. The tank cabinete is now empty and have more room to do so. The sump and equipment is now on the other side of the wall and future sump room. cant wait to get this done so i can start putting up walls for the sump room.

I can now just open a valve for drain and then open the other valve to fill. So much easier. first water change is happening this weekend and cant wait to try out :nerd:.
i also have a swith for the pump for quick maintenebce or feedings. Hopefully upgrading to a RK or APEX soon to control everything.

Next step will be to set up the BRS reactors.

Once i enclose the sump room, i am going to add 3 0r 4 10 gal tanks along the back wall for misc breeding projects tied into the main sump. ever since i can remeber i have been breeding all kinds of freshwater fish. But have never trried saltwater. My version of breeding salt fish was going to grandmoms house in Arecibo PR and netting baby fish from the puddles in the rocks. french angels, squirl eye's, sargent major damsels eels of all kinds..Wow i miss my island. My clowns at the moment are laying eggs but i have not attempted to pull them yet until i get this set up.

the sump is also going to be redesigned with proper baffles and areas for frags. but i am not going to start that until everything else is done. That is for now. if i can find any other pics i may have taken i will post them. And if anyone is asking what the red is in the sump? they are red mushrooms that ended up floating in the tank while moving the tank around. If you are local and want some PM me. Will be happy to share.

i forgot to mention a new canopy will be built also. Which i have gottem the lumper for already.

Enjoy!

Well it has been a while since i have updated this. Been way busy putting the finishing touches on the basement remodel. Above you can see the before pic of the fish tank. since i have painted the stand added more molding and built the new canopy.

Here is the After. Sorry for pic quality.

.

now i can concentrate on adding more livestock to the tank :)

Looks Great.. What are you thinking for additional livestock?
Thanks! A few more Green Chromis. maybe a powder blue or a regal angel. a few more wrass. and also looking at adding some SPS. Trying to get water chemistry just right before i jump in.

Great work! How well did your auto water change work?
Thanks! Didn't go fully automatic but close. just a turn of a valve to drain and and another valve to fill. Using the main flow pump.Takes about 10 minutes to do the water change weekly(not including the salt mixing ). 40B for salt mixing
