Hello R2R,

Curious to see what Reefers are dosing NoPox on automation or doser. If you are utilizing a doser, would you share the type of doser and lines you utilized to do so.

Please share your pros and cons of auto dosing NoPox!!

Happy Reefing!!

I use BRS 1.1ml dosing pump.....works great....with the DIY version of NOPOX.

I use the kamoer x1 Bluetooth pump. I've been dosing nopox for a few months now and have not seen a decline in nutrients. I started dosing mb7 along with the nopox maybe 6 weeks ago and still have seen no decline in nutrients. Very frustrating. Hope you have better luck than I've had! But as far as the dosing lines just standard airline. I have not seen any degradation of the lines

I dosed Nopox for about 4 years in my S650 and used a Kamoer doser. This is a 6 year old tank now and to be honest I stopped dosing because even at ‘very high’ dosages (like 4 x recommend) it wasn’t making any difference and the system is now stable and doesn’t need Nopox (and it has nitrate levels of around 40 last time I checked, but it’s a mature system)

I think you need to use silicone dosing tubing otherwise it can react over time

As @redfishbluefish has said there is a DIY version which is basically a copy and Ive also tried that as well as the Red Sea version.

You will find the glass gets like a white haze which needs cleaning every few days, not really an issue, as I do that anyway.

To be honest there are other ways to keep nitrate levels in check (it makes little difference to phosphate), and I don’t use Nopox in my very large system at all and have no intention of doing so. Seachem Matrix, refugium, many similar options are available and of course depending on your tank size, good old simple water changes.

Yep, I use refugium, over sized skimmer, do monthly water changes but my nitrates still sky rocket. I do feed extremely heavy mostly because of my CopperBand Butterfly and to me it’s worth it for that fish and him making my DT Aptasia free!!

I have a 131 Gallon DT with 40 gallon sump. But my fish bio load is pretty high:

• CopperBand Butterfly
• Magnificent Foxface
• Yellow Eye Kole Tang
• Yellow Tang
• Coral Beauty
• Flame Angelfish
• 2 Blue Star Leopard Wrasses
• 2 Designer Clownfish
• 2 Bimaculatus Anthias
• Mandarin goby
• Purple Firefish

Anyone else have pictures or examples of their NoPox dosing stations and what they used!?
