Auto dosing phyto and/or aminos?

You could set up a culturing station next to your fuge and use the same lighting. Then you can dose directly

Dose anyone do this?
How so?
I’m thinking about it and need to figure out if it’s doable, and affordable
I’ve got aminos in my top off, the phyto would be a bit more complicated.

Wait what aminos do you dose? Can you just add them to a 5 gal jug? Both aminos I have say they need to be refrigerated after opening.

I do this with brightwell coral amino. It Works for me. I add approximately 5 ml per gallon of top off water. I feel I get a kick on my alk consumption when I dose it in the top off water opposed to once in the evening. I have a 110 gal sps packed tank. 20 years old.

So essentially just add 25ml to my 5 gal jug. That seems easy enough. Might give it a shot.

I dose easybooster (phyto) daily. I don't dose aminos.

I do them separately.
In both cases I add a weeks worth in a jar mixed with 7 times of RODI, then dose evenly on the hour throughout the week

Easyreefs booster works great, I also like the easysps. Just connect them to a Doser and hang them up

Ok found this kind of like the idea. But I was think of mounting the dose on top the fridge and drilling it so the lines go straight into the fridge? The guy has tank water running into the fridge with a little bit of vinyl tubing and pvc.

How many fish do you have?
How big is your total system?
How much do you feed?

I tried aminos and found it messed with my overall params.
I found better success by managing N&P and giving the fish enough.
Fish poop is a great coral fert.

Not enough lol 3 a tomini tang, yellow wrasse and a mandarin.
75 gal dt 20 gal sump...
currently my refugium is doing to good of a job so I’ve used feedings to twice a day reef roids twice a week. My nitrates were .14 on a Hanna nitrate lr. Haven’t check my phosphates recently.
I’m more concerned about dosing phyto but it seems it may just be easier to keep dumping it in every day. At lights out my tank turns green with phyto. Helps keep the pod population up.
I do plan on adding 2 clowns, 2 cherub angels and 2 Dracula gobies as soon as I can

Are you wanting to add phyto or aminos because your corals are 'suffering'?
If so, I'd suggest you test your PO4 and get your N&P to a happy point for your corals.
You N is quite low, even for a low nutrient system.
As I mentioned above, I tried amino acids. But after tinkering with my N&P, all was good.

What are your Alk, Ca and Mag levels?

I’ll test tomorrow and get back to you. My last calcium reading was 475 and my alk was 9.9. I’m not sure when my nitrates got so low. I went on vacation and when I came back after two weeks of not dosing phyto (it’s to feed the pod population for the mandarin) I had nuisance algae galore. But since being home and manually removing all of it from my dt and returning to dosing phyto again I haven’t had another outbreak. I know my nitrates are low hence why I have started feed twice a day along with reef roids twice a week.
My cheato and fireball macro in my sump where very happy though!
