Auto top off suggestions

I second the Spectrapure UPLC-II. I have also been using it for years without any problems. It is a bit pricey, but worth it IMO.

To secure the suction cups, place a dab of silicone on each before attaching it and they stay put. Been like that for years and still in place.

Thanks for all of your input everyone! I really appreciate everyone's suggestions. I have been reviewing all of these all day and a better part of this afternoon. They all seem like great units but think the tunze osmolater is gonna be the one for me. It fits in my budget of 200$ has many great reviews across the board with minimal warranty issues. It's main competitors were the avast and the spectrapure. The avast is kinda neat that the plugs are available to plug right into a controller but I don't have one now and would have to order the digital relay box later. I also like the magnetic probe holder that could serve as a ph probe or such later. The spectrapure stood out with there 5 yr warranty and how precise the unit actually is as well as the fail safes that are there as well even though their are suction cups the silicone is a great idea and I'm sure it makes sure they stay put. I'm gonna take that idea elsewhere with heaters and such. Spectrapure was just a little out of my price range and I am a little impatient sometime. Especially when money is burning a hole and I feel the need to spend it lol. This is the only forum that I am apart of and I am glad I chose this community to be involved with. Than u guys so much.

The Spectrapure is on sale in my link for $199? If youy are paying $200 for a Tunze you are better off with the UPLC for $199 which include the three roller all metal Liter Meter style peristaltic pump with the best warranty in the business.

Oh really. It's on sale. I was just on there website. Where is it on sale at. My
Mind may change yet

And also with it using that pump couldn't you use it for other things as well possibly down the road. Just curious

Its in this sale flyer which is at the top of their home page.
Untitled Document

The UPLC peristaltic pump is modified and programmed to be used for the top off only even though the internals are the same as the Liter Meter.

Hey rat thanks for the flyer. Good lookin out. I will be ordering the spectrapure tomorrow

Yes. That smell you smell when silicone is curing is vinegar and many people use vinegar in their tanks as a form of pH adjustment.

I just ran irrigation line to an aqualifter from my RO tank controlled by my RKE and used a spare float valve from my RO system as a backup shutoff. Works great for me, but as usual in this lifestyle what works for one may or may not work for another.

I have already ordered my spectrapure but has anyone heard of or had experience with the genesis reef systems. I Ran across there site along time ago and thought it would be awsome but forgot there name. After doing a 40 gal water change last night instead of the usual 5gal daily I started looking real hard again. To stay on topic they have a ato that plugs into there main system so it doesn't top off when it does waterchanges, but not only that has a valve that hooks up to ro/di to replenish top off tank. Is there really an almost hands free set up?
