Auto Top off system

I'm setting up a 180 Gallon Build in a couple weeks. I'm wondering what to do about a ATO. Most of them are rated up to 75 gallons. I currently have auto aqua ato now on my 55. Would that be ok or would I need 2 of them?

As option you can try to call to local store and ask them about your ATO.. it will be ok or not for 180 gallon? They have to know about technical characteristics your ATO...

I dont see a reason why it wont work honestly. Worst case scenario, depending on your setup and its evap. needs, if it isnt keeping up just sell it and go with another ATO

I've never heard of an ATO rated to a certain gallon size tank. I can't see your tank loosing more than 2 gallons a day....and the weakest pump can easily keep up with that. I loose between 1 to 1 1/2 gallons a day and my little Tom's Aqualifter has done just fine for eight years. Are you sure you're reading about your ATO correctly?

I have a 125 and I lose 1 1/2to 2 gal a day and use a toms pump never had a prob just keep top off tank filled.
